Dr. John P. Harloe III

Born in Galveston and raised in the Carolinas, John studied psychology and neuroscience as an undergraduate at Furman University in Greenville, SC.  After graduating, John was admitted to the Pharmacology & Toxicology PhD program at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia.  While earning both his masters and doctorate, John was involved in conducting and designing research trials aimed at identifying and characterizing novel compounds which affect learning and memory, and may someday be used for treating disorders such as Alzheimer’s and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Following graduate school, John enrolled in law school, and graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 2011.  John joined Freese & Goss during his last year of law school, and has remained with the firm since.  Currently, he is primarily involved in assisting the firm with its collection and evaluation of scientific research, monitoring health agencies for changes in drug and device warnings, and handling cases involving Topamax, SSRIs, Avandia, Accutane, pelvic mesh, and various other dangerous drugs and devices.

John is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Northern, Southern, and Eastern District of Texas, the American Association for Justice, the American Health Law Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
