Peter de la Cerda

Born in Austin, Texas of bicultural parents, Pedro “Peter” de la Cerda grew up in Dallas, Texas, which he calls home today. After attending Cistercian Preparatory School, he matriculated to The University of Texas at Austin, where he was graduated in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Deciding to pursue a career in the legal field, Mr. de la Cerda then attended Texas Tech University School of Law and the Rawls College of Business, where he was awarded both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Business Administration, was a member of the Texas Tech Law Review and Beta Gamma Sigma, and was graduated cum laude.

In 2004, Mr. de la Cerda joined a prominent boutique litigation firm in Dallas, where he defended physicians, nurses, hospitals, trucking companies, and manufacturing companies in disputes involving personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, and toxic tort. In 2008, moved by compassion for the wrongfully injured, he set off to prosecute cases on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injury cases.  Today, he proudly pursues pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers whose defective products injure the public.

Outside of his busy legal practice, Mr. de la Cerda enjoys spending time with his wife and two precocious sons, as well as watching and following the trials and tribulations of the The University of Texas Longhorn football team.
