Biografía
Mr. Kuntz is a trial lawyer born in Kansas and based in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Psychology in 1996 and earned his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2000, including coursework through the London Law Consortium. He is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri and is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Experiencia
Mr. Kuntz has more than two decades of courtroom experience and has tried numerous jury cases to verdict as Lead or Co-Lead Counsel. His work encompasses products liability, mass torts, drug and medical device litigation, environmental and toxic torts, class actions, medical malpractice, and personal injury and wrongful death. His trial practice has included high-stakes matters resulting in multimillion-dollar verdicts for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Prior to joining Freese and Goss, Mr. Kuntz spent 23 years at a national law firm in Kansas City. During that period, he secured the firm’s largest personal injury verdict, its largest mass-tort drug and device verdict, and its largest non-mass-tort personal injury settlement.
Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Kuntz is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has served on the ABOTA Executive Committee for the Western Missouri/Eastern Kansas Chapter. He recently completed two four-year appointments on the Missouri Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Committee for Region IV. He is also a member of the International Society of Barristers, an invitation-only organization.

Mr. Kuntz has been recognized by his peers and the legal community for his trial work and leadership. His honors include selection as Best of the Bar by the Kansas City Business Journal, recognition as a SuperLawyer by Thomson Reuters, and receipt of both the Thomas J. Conway Award from the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the William Welliver Award from the Missouri Bar.
Mr. Kuntz is also active in professional organizations that emphasize excellence in trial advocacy. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the International Society of Barristers (ISOB), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
